Antiquity Fashion Park

July 26, 2008 at 5:32 pm (Hats) ()

Today was the official launching of Antiquity Fashion Park in Antiquity. Hatpins is there now, with a small selection of favourite hats, and a new hat called Lady Gabrielle.

There was a fashion show in which a multitude of vintage designers submitted their clothing, and some free things, too.

I actually have a free – yes, free, not 1L – item in my shop, but it’s only going to be there until about 11pm SLT, and then I’m going to put the price up to 125L when I release it a little later.

It was a lot of fun to see the other designers there, and this was the very first show in which I was asked to submit hats for a couple of the outfits. That was a real kick, I have to say! So I submitted the new Lady Gabriella, and the popular Lady Tatiana with Scarlet Roses.

Something a little different.

July 26, 2008 at 5:17 pm (Hatpins, Hats, Hodgepodge) ()

I tried my hand – or paw in this case, at making something different. The end result was the coupling of the Lady Tatiana in Mourning hat with a Tiny widow dress. I think it turned out rather well, considering it’s my first attempt at making something Tiny, and I have to say that finding a Tiny posing stand was perhaps the most challenging part of the creation. I am happy with what I turned out, though: a Victorian styled mourning dress complete with bow and bustle, frilliness beneath the skirt, and a little marble brooch. Shiny, of course.

The dress is available at Onrez, either with or without the hat, which is also sold separately – with or without the veil. The whole ensemble is 500L, which is a savings of 50L. There are more pictures at Onrez. I am not sure where I will put this outfit in-world, as it doesn’t seem to fit with any shop that I have. Yet. :3

Demo hats arrive at Hatpins.

No longer do you need to agonize over what hat style will go with what dress!

At the Caledon shop I have put demo hats for each style. Each demo is 1L and allows you to see exactly how the hat looks on, and also gives you an opportunity to see the details used in a Hatpins hat.

Thanks very much!
