New store, new name.

I am excited to announce that I am opening a new store in Caledon, called Hatpins. This is the first time I’ve ever owned the land my own store is on, and having the land in Caledon is something I strived to do ever since I realized I could make hats. So it’s a major thing for me! And I can’t believe I forgot to blog it. Wait, yes I can.

Anyways, it’s in the search as hatpins, and it’s the only one that comes up. My grand opening celebration is from 6-8 tonight – Thursday. I’ll have cut prices until midnight on select items, and various other things. Radio Riel is going to be providing the presenter and the music, which is good, because I really (rielly?) like them. Everybody is welcome.

I’ve also got several new hats, two top hats – one for ladies and one for men; a really big hat with a bow on one side and flowers on the other called Lady Minerva; Gentleman In A Box, which is a boxed set of the aforementioned men’s top hat, two monocles (one for each eye), a gold tipped walking stick, and a gentleman’s guide to etiquette, a complimentary gift from Sir JJ Drinkwater and the Caledon Libraries.

As I said, this is a big day for me and I thank everyone who helped me see this day, from the teachers at the various SL schools I went to so I could learn, to those who donated shop space or space for me to build in so I could save my lindens, to those who encouraged me, to those who bought my hats, and to the ones who told me how much they love my hats. Thank you!

Oh, and I’m going to continue using Reghan’s Hats & Hodgepodge. It makes a good umbrella sort of name since I make and sell more than just hats.

And thank you for reading this! I’d post some pictures, and I probably should, but I am going to bed…big day today and I’ll be working like mad from when I wake up and loving every stress-filled minute.
